  ELOISE KLEIN HEALY
  The Founding Chair of the MFA in Creative Writing Program at Antioch University Los Angles has published six books of poetry including Building Some Changes (Beyond Baroque Foundation) and A Packet Beating Like a Heart (Books Of A Feather Press). She also has two collections from Red Hen Press, most recently, The Islands Project: Poems for Sappho and Passing. The Grand Prize winner of LA Poetry Festival Competition directed the Women’s Studies Program at California State University Northridge and taught in the Feminist Studio Workshop at The Woman’s Building in LA.
  
  DOUGLAS KEARNEY
  Douglas Kearney is an L.A.-based poet, performer, librettist and teacher. His writing has appeared in a number of journals and anthologies. A featured performer across the country and on the radio, he was honored to receive a “Whiting Writers Award” in 2008. His current book is Fear, Some published by Red Hen Press. His most recent book is The Black Automaton by Fence Press.
  
  MONICA LEE COPELAND
  Monica Lee Copeland is a veteran performer and writer. She has extensively toured her work throughout the US and abroad, including the Opening of Chicago’s Museum of Modern Art, Lollapalooza and two United Kingdom Black History Celebration Tours sponsored by Farrago Poetry. She won seats on four National SLAM Poetry competition teams and in 1997 was the 6th ranking individual nationally. The Author of Back to Concrete: On Home, Love, Sisters and Struggle, her poetry and short fiction have been printed in numerous anthologies.

  JAMEY HECHT
  This literary whirlwind is an accomplished Shakespearean actor and playwright of Back; And to the Left; a One-Man Show in Memory of JFK. The Poet in Residence of West LA’s Winward School has appeared in numerous journals, most notably The Los Angeles Review, The Cortland Review, and LA Times Bestseller, The Underground Guide to Los Angeles. These works include Plato’s Symposium: Eros and the Human Predicament; a translation, Sophocles Three Theban Plays; and a collection of poems, Midnight Blue: Fifty Frames from the Zapruder Film (Red Hen Press, 2009).
  
  NOLANDA LOVE
  Elder Nolanda Love, Founder/CEO of Nolanda Love Ministries, Inc., was a 2005 recipient of Women in Action’s prestigious award, “Wind Beneath My Wings”. She currently has a CD released titled With My Whole Heart as well as a poetry book Joy for the Journey. She serves on The King’s College Alumni Association Council, is a Chancellor Jack Hayford’s School of Pastoral Nurture Worship Leader, and is Founding Circle Member of The King’s College League of Women.
  
  ERIC MORAGO
  A 2010 Pushcart Prize nominee, he holds a Creative Writing MFA from California State University, Long Beach. Eric’s work has appeared in the anthologies Carving the Bone and Beyond the City of Angels. He just published his first full-length collection of poetry and prose, What We Ache For and is a Poet in Resident with California Workforce Association.

  Brass Knuckles is a Monday Night Open Mic and Slam that takes place at Kaos Network in Leimert Park, California. Presented by Grand Slam Champions, Judy Holiday and Nikki Blak, the Brass Knuckles will bring slam to life at this very special anniversary event.

  Jason Luckett is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles. His organic sound is a vibrant mixture of passion and peace. His latest album which is out now is The Second Half of the Bet, and his other albums include MMIX, and Adjusted Expectations. Jason has also published literary works including his two most recent, Playing the Verses Straight and Jackson, MS.

  DAN KWONG
  An American performance artist who intertwines storytelling, multimedia, poetry, martial arts and music. He has been presenting his solo performances since 1989, often drawing upon his own life experiences to explore personal, historical and social issues. Kwong is a graduate of Chicago’s School of the Art Institute and Resident Artist at Santa Monica’s 18th Street Arts Center.
